ABOUT HEIDI BLANKSMA
I grew up in Stonehaven in the North East of Scotland and have also been fortunate enough to live overseas in France and Australia for a number of years.

My passion for photography developed after attending an extensive photography course run by a local photographer. Following on from this, I decided to go back to the grass roots of photography and enrolled at Gray's School of Art, Photography and Darkroom course. I am now in to the fourth year of the course and I find that the magical experience of an image develop before your eyes never fades.

I particularly like to show motion and texture in my images and achieve this by using creative lenses, filters and techniques such as intentional camera movement and double exposure. I hope the end result is more than just a photograph and adds something mystical and daydream like.

In 2021, I completed a course in Therapeutic Photography. I hope to work with individuals and groups in the future, exploring the therapeutic benefits of photography.
